ALL GUIDING IS DONE IN ENGLISH.

We are based in the village of Skivsjö near Vindeln in Vasterbotten in Northern Sweden.

Guided fishing and bird watching day trips are paid for in cash on arrival with us at the start of the session.

Evening owl guided tours are paid for in cash on arrival with us at the start of the session.

We accept cash payment only.

SEK (Swedish Krona), GBP (British Pounds) and Euros only are accepted.

We cannot accept payment by debit or credit card.

Holiday packages (caravan stay plus guided tours) run from May until late September.

We offer guided day trips for birds and wildlife all year round and day fishing trips from May until October/November (weather dependent).

All of the photos on this website were taken by us. Much of the wildlife can be viewed directly from our caravan or within short walks and drives or from our boat out on the lake.

The nearby town of Vindeln offers supermarkets, shops and restaurants.

Skivsjö (where we are based) has a small supermarket only 2 minutes walk from your accommodation. It is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Skivsjö has a cafe operating June, July and August within a 10 minute walk from where you stay with us.

HOW TO BOOK:

Check our availability and contact us on our online booking calendar or via email at swedenfishingandbirding@gmail.com.

Please state whether your booking request is for bird watching or fishing or caravan only and the number of guests.

Feel free to add any extra information e.g. we are interested in seeing Great Grey Owls or catching large Pike etc.

It is best to email us direct with your questions at swedenfishingandbirding@gmail.com.

Check flights to Umea, Sweden and let us know your pick up / drop off time at umea airport (if needed).
We will respond by email confirming your booking request.
You then pay 10% of the total cost of the trip via bank transfer or PAYPAL. We can provide our bank details via email. This 10% deposit is non-refundable.
Pay the remaining balance on arrival in Sweden at the start of your trip with us (cash only in either British Pounds, Euros or Swedish Krona).

If you book a day session with us at short notice (fishing or bird watching) you can pay 100% of the cost on arrival with us on the day of the trip.

CARAVAN ONLY RENTAL

The caravan is available for rental only at a rate of £500 or 550 Euros or 6000 SEK per week (seven nights) during the months of June, July and August. Maximum number of people in the caravan is four.

Pick up and drop off at Umea airport or train station may be added (for an extra charge of 600 SEK) each way, if needed.

Fishing, wildlife or bird watching tours can be booked as extras during your stay, if desired.

Our bank payment details will be provided to you by email at time of booking OR you can book via PAYPAL.

If you need a date change post booking I shall try my best to help you dependent upon availability.

You have exclusive use of our island and our sauna at no extra charge.

We collect and return you to Umea airport, taking the stress and expense of hiring a car and driving out of your trip.

We welcome beginners to experts. We can help you master fishing tactics, how to use boats, engines, fish finders, identify birds or simply share stories about Sweden. Likewise, we love to learn from our guests.

You can engage in your own hobbies. If fishing and birding are not your thing then why not indulge in your own pastimes.

Finally…..here in Northern Sweden you have a much better chance of witnessing Great grey owl, Moose, Beaver, Reindeer herds, seeing the northern lights or catching huge Pike than you do further south in Sweden.
