We are located in the village of Skivsjo; 20 minutes drive from Vindeln and 1 hours drive from the city of Umea (in the county of Vasterbotten) in Northern Sweden.
We are less than one hours drive from Umea Airport and Lapland.
Bookings can be for:
- lakeside accommodation only – one week (seven nights) luxury giant caravan accommodation is £400 or 450 Euros or 4 500 SEK (including pick up and drop off from Umea airport if needed).
- birding / birdwatching holidays with lakeside accommodation
We specialise in showing you rare owls, woodpeckers and birds of prey in the on site forest that we own and water birds inhabiting the lake and river on your door step.
An example tour is Friday to Tuesday (including pick up and drop off from Umea airport) – 4 guests – numerous forest, lake, river, wetland and nature reserve locations visited for £250 per person. Total for 4 people is £1000 or 1 100 Euros or 11 500 SEK. Free to use on site sauna.
We spot Western Capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus), Black Grouse (Tetrao tetrix), Great Grey Owl (Strix nebulosa), Northern Hawk Owl (Surnia ulula), Ural Owl (Strix uralensis), Boreal or Tengmalm’s Owl (Aegolius funereus) , Eurasian Pygmy Owl (Glaucidium passerinum), White-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla), Black woodpecker (Dryocopus martius), Grey-headed woodpecker (Picus canus), Eurasian crane (Grus grus), Spotted nutcracker (Nucifraga caryocatactes), Black-throated diver (Gavia arctica) plus European Moose (Alces alces) and reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) in habitat frequented by Eurasian Brown Bear (Ursus arctos arctos) , Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx), European Beaver (Castor fiber) and European Pine Marten (Martes martes) plus much more.

We specialise in catching big Northern Pike (Esox lucius), Burbot (Lota lota) and Eurasian Perch (Perca fluviatilis) lure fishing from our boat and Baltic Salmon (Salmo salar), Brown Trout and Sea Trout (Salmo trutta) and Grayling (Thymallus thymallus) in the Umea River and Vindeln River.
An example one week (seven night) trip is £300 or 330 Euros or 3 330 SEK per person for three fishing guests catching Pike, Perch, Burbot and much more (includes accommodation, guide, boat, tackle, life jackets, fish finder and trolling motor: plus pick up / drop off at Umea airport). Free to use on site sauna. We practice 100% catch and release.

- lure fishing for big pike, burbot and perch by boat (700 SEK for a 6 hour guided boat trip per fishing guest and 350 SEK per non-fishing guest and children). We supply all of the equipment you will require for boat fishing e.g. Yamaha engine, fuel, trolling motor, Garmin fish finder, fishing licences, life jackets, rods, reels, net, unhooking mat and lures.
- bird watching for owls, eagles, cranes, woodpeckers, Capercaillie and Black grouse plus much more by foot or vehicle in our forest and local nature reserves (700 SEK per person for a 6 hour guided tour).
- moose watching by vehicle and on foot in our forest and from wooden viewing towers.
Guests staying with us have the chance to view the Aurora borealis / Northern Lights / Polar Lights lakeside and over our pine forest.
All of the wildlife is on your doorstep. No need for long journeys once you are here. We manage our adjacent forest for the benefit of its birdlife (especially Scandinavian owls, grouse and woodpeckers).
