We offer Northern Sweden Pike and Perch fishing day trips.
900 SEK per person for a 3.5 hour long guided boat fishing trip for 2 to 3 people.
Single person trip is 1 500 kr.
We depart and return to Skivsjö. All equipment and licences provided. Fishing times are flexible.
We are based in the village of Skivsjö near Vindeln, Umea in Vasterbotten Northern Sweden.

The local lakes and rivers that we fish can be termed “runs waters”. That means that they hold huge amounts of fish, which are readily caught. Large numbers of pike in the 10lb to 27lb category and over 100cm long are caught throughout the year.
Bigger specimens of over 14kg or 30lbs are possible from the lakes and Umeå River.
As with all fishing catches fluctuate.
We don’t offer boat only rental, so you cannot go out fishing alone on the boat.
We only offer guided boat fishing trips.
The lakes and rivers are deep, large and underwater boulders are common. Local knowledge is needed to avoid accidents and damage to equipment while fishing.
Pike fishing in Skivsjö one day guided boat trips –
Maximum three adult fishing guests, plus guide on the boat. The guide is Craig (business owner). We recommend 1 or 2 paying fishing guests on the boat for the best experience.
All fishing tackle, life jackets and fishing licences are supplied. This includes lures.
All guiding is done in English.
We use our Yamaha outboard engine, electric trolling motor and Garmin Fish / Depth Finder.
Instruction on fishing techniques is given. Suitable for beginners and experienced fishermen and women.
We fish by trolling, jigging and spinning / casting a variety of metal, rubber and plastic lures.
We provide the lures at no extra charge.
Full help and advice is supplied by your guide.
Children over 7 years old are welcome. Please state their ages at the time of booking. This is a great place to learn to fish. We catch lots of fish to keep the youngsters interested and we catch big fish which shocks and excites them! Sometimes the fish are longer than the kid!
Price per trip is 900 SEK (Swedish Krona) per adult fishing guest for a 3.5 hour long guided boat fishing session.
Minimum charge for the 3.5 hour boat fishing trip is 1 500 SEK per day.
Two people plus guide boat fishing is 1 800 SEK for a 3.5 hour long trip.
We can accept payment in SEK, Euros or GBP.
Cash payment only.
ALL trips operate catch and release fishing.
We do not kill fish or take fish to eat.
If you are inexperienced then no casting is needed, as we troll (drag) the pike lures behind the moving boat. This is a super easy and safe way to fish. You get to see a lot of the lake and can stop at our island to explore on foot or sit down at our picnic table and benches. This tour is suitable for beginners or experienced fisher folk.
For more experienced fishermen we can cast large rubber swimbaits or jig in deep water.
During the summer we cast light lures amongst boulders and reed fringed margins in shallow water.
Before boarding the boat we select the correct sized life jackets and explain safety, how we will fish and where we will go.
Start and finish times can be agreed at the time of booking. In the summer we can fish late into the evening. So you can fish from 6pm to 9:30pm etc. Generally, we fish between 10am to 6pm.
On super hot days early morning or evening is best for the large pike. Perch feed in all weather.
All netting, unhooking and holding of the fish for photos can be done by the guide. These big, strong, toothy fish can be a bit daunting for the inexperienced!
If you bring food and drink, sandwiches, fruit etc we can stop at our island to eat during the trip. Or you can eat on the boat.

Payment is made in person on the day of the trip.
We can only accept cash payment.
We can collect and return you to your accommodation in the Grano or Vindeln area or similar for a charge.
Prices for pick up / drop off are 450 SEK one way from Vindeln to Skivsjo (journey time 25 minutes).
Otherwise, you can book a taxi to reach us.
We have ample parking on site should you drive, bring a camper van or caravan.
We cater for all levels of fishing experience. Those wanting to learn about using the boat, fishing equipment, techniques and fish species are most welcome.
Alternatively, the experienced angler can have a terrific time in this fishing utopia.
The itinerary may be altered to match weather, successful fishing conditions or to match guests wishes. Guests may want to experience fishing in daylight at midnight in summer! Our aim is to please.
We operate 100% catch and release.
Pick up and drop off in Umeå or nearby (by car) is available at an extra cost.
Successful lures we use are made by Daiwa, Fox, Savage Gear, Rapala, Storm, Abu Garcia, Zalt, Gunki and Westin.
The huge lake has an abundance of underwater boulders and trees (plus fluctuating water depth). This requires site knowledge for the safety of you and the boat when operating a powerful Yamaha engine.
Rules:
We practice a catch and release policy for all fish.
Life jackets must be worn at all times while on the boat.
No smoking at the rear of the boat when the Yamaha petrol engine and fuel are onboard.
Maximum number of anglers on the boat at one time is 3. We recommend 1 or 2 anglers plus the guide for the best experience.
It is very rare for us to have strong winds. Most days the lake is calm or has a ripple from light winds. IF winds exceed 30km/h (moderate to high wind) then it may be deemed unsafe for the boat to go out.
If you lose a boat fishing day due to bad weather we can fish local rivers from land.
The sheer size of the lake, its islands, bays and the huge pine trees fringing it usually provide somewhere in or out of the sun or wind if the need arises.
The islands we own in the middle of the lake have a covered shelter built on one.
On very windy days you can fish from the bank or in the river passing through our forest, just a short walk from where you stay. Or we can drive to the Umeå River.
