We are situated near to the Vindelalven-Juhtatdahka UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in northern Sweden.
The Biosphere Reserve is within a 15 minute drive from us at sweden fishing and birding and makes for a must see day trip.
Take a look at their internet site for more information – https://vindelalvenjuhtatdahka.se
A small branch of the ICA chain of supermarkets is a 200m walk away from your accommodation. It is akin to a UK Tescos in that it stocks brands familiar to Brits – Heinz, Mcvities, Kellogs etc. Prices and offers on products are similar too.
They stock milk, bread, eggs, meats, frozen foods, bathroom products, fruit, vegetables, canned goods, ice creams, biscuits, sweets and crisps etc. It is open Saturdays 9am to 1pm and 9:30am to 5:30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In summer they also open all day Thursday.
You have the free use of the sauna, changing area and adjacent shower.
The sauna seats 3 on the upper tier and two on the lower tier. The sauna building is attached to our barn and a 150m walk across grass from your accommodation.

Swimming is possible in the lake. Users do so at their own risk. The margins are shallow. Indeed, the village has a (free to use) man made changing area and small sandy beach with a floating wooden walkway designed for sunbathing and swimming (500m walk from your accommodation). A wooden changing cabin and basic toilet facilities are on site.
Sweden gives people the right to walk across its landscapes. We own forest and grassland surrounding where you stay, so you can run, rest, walk and play safe in the knowledge that your presence will be unchallenged.
An excellent hardcore tennis court is run and operated by the village. The court is fully fenced in and adjacent to the forest. It is a 500m walk from your accommodation. Tennis equipment can be rented from us.
Next to the tennis court is a free to use illuminated cross country track, which meanders in a circular route through the forest. It is available for walking, running, mountain biking and skiing/skidoos in the winter. Wooden seating tables for picnics and basic toilet facilities are present.
