Heavy overnight snow and our feeders are full of birds.

December 2019 and now January 2020 have seen exceptionally unseasonable warm temperatures across the Nordic countries. Most days have ranged from -3 to +3 degrees with us here in Northern Sweden. Yesterday was 7 degrees. Considering past years have seen regular temperatures from minus seven to minus 20 degrees, this winter is very strange. I would expect minus 15 now but instead have plus 3. Much of Sweden has no snow at the moment and skiing races are cancelled and the owners of expensive snow scooters are not happy!

But, we had over 15cm of snow overnight on one occasion this week, with a couple of other nights bringing a further 5cm each. That led to us having a week of LOTS of birds on our feeders. Enjoy the photos we took from our kitchen window!
