Here in Northern Sweden the pike feed voraciously from mid August and through September in preparation for the coming winter.
During this time the fishing is fast and furious.
Here is some footage I took out on the boat of a typical 20lb fish I caught recently.
Short 2.5 hr sessions have been producing three fish per angler around this size! The fish are measuring in the 95cm to 105cm range.
We hope to get two more weekends out on the boat, before storing it ready to start again in Spring 2020. Mid October can bring sleet, snow and over night frosts.
