The Baltic Salmon run is peaking. Nearly 10 000 Salmon have been recorded entering the Vindeln River to date. Huge female fish have been photographed and recorded via underwater monitoring cameras and this week saw a 10kg fish caught.
So after a 20minute drive from home (with newly purchased licence in hand) I begin my effort to catch a Salmon.
First up was a try for the Brown Trout; while I observe the river. Always good to build confidence and get a bend in the rod before chasing monster Salmon!
